Counts every bonus and cash dividend on file after the buy date, and takes every rights issue as subscribed at its issue price, with the payment added to what you put in. Dividends are after the 5% tax, which also covers the face value of any bonus. Worth today is at the last close, before selling costs. Total return = (worth today + dividends − everything paid) / everything paid. The annual return spreads that over the years held, counting each payment and dividend on its own date, and is shown once a year has passed.
